ABOUT ARTIST

Shelisa Akbar

Shelisa Akbar is a gigging musician around the greater Toronto area and has been teaching piano, vocal, and music theory for over several years at multiple music academies. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree as well as a certificate of Introduction to Commercial Jazz from Humber College. Shelisa is currently working on completing a graduate certificate in music composition. Alongside these multiple commitments Shelisa is undertaking many more musical projects such as forming an EP which involves songwriting, charting, arranging, rehearsals, recording, and editing music. She is also involved in multiple live performance settings such as paid entertainment venues, charitable events, open mic nights, and music festivals throughout the GTA.
